Brazil

Brazil’s U21 is part of a strategy to ensure that their men’s side is one of the strongest in the world and it is a policy that has worked well. They have won 13 medals at U21 World Championships - four gold, six silver and three bronze, while in South America Brazil have won 17 continental titles.

Leonardo Afonso Seixas De Carvalho

Leonardo Carvalho has been working with Brazil’s U21s since he led them at the Men’s U21 World Championship in Brazil where the team finished sixth. In 2013 he led the team to the silver medal in Turkey. In 2014 he took over as coach to Brazilian club Sao Jose do Campos.
