Overview

Team profile

The Canadian team has a mix of new and returning players who have been training and competing together since May of this year. Brandon Koppers, Blake Scheerhoorn, Lucas Coleman, team captain Ryan Nickifor, Gabriel Chancy and Andrew Richards are among those who have returned for another U21 campaign.
Canada finished second at the 2014 NORCECA Under-21 Men's Volleyball Championships in El Salvador, where they lost the final to Cuba 3-0 (29-27, 25-21, 25-21). The silver-medal finish qualified the team for the FIVB World Junior Championships.
Earlier this summer, Canada clinched the bronze medal of the 2015 U21 Men’s Pan American Cup after a thrilling five-set 3-2 (25-23, 19-25, 20-25, 25-16 and 15-11) victory over Chile in Gatineau, Quebec. This July, the team also represented its country at the FISU games in Korea.
