Tijuana, Mexico, September 17, 2015 - Argentina closed the second pools round with a perfect march after winning all their matches in three sets.
On Thursday they defeated Slovenia 3-0 (25-18, 25-16, 29-27) and after clinching a berth in the Final Four, are waiting for their rival at the semifinals.
Joaquin Gallego and Nicolas Lazo guided the South American team to the victory with 13 and 12 points respectively, while Stern Toncek topped for Slovenia with 16 points.
Lazo even aced three times to mark a difference. Collectively Argentina prevailed 4-1 while blocking was also the key for the Argentinians with a 6-2 balance in 1 hour and 12 minutes of playing time.
Slovenia were close to the fourth set but failed the set point in four times, giving enough chance to their rivals to secure the victory by coming from behind.
