Argentina reach the top four

Tijuana, Mexico, September 16, 2015 - Argentina clinched a berth as part of the Top 4 teams of the competition with only one match left for the South American Team.

The squad coached by Alejandro Grossi  defeated Turkey 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-23) with a good control on the ball against one of the most dangerous team in the tournament.

Brian Melgarejo and Nicolas Lazo were the top scorers for Argentina with 12 points apiece and Joaquin Gallego finished with 8.

Yasin Aydin was the best for Turkey with 15 units and their captain Vahit Emre Savas finished with 11 as well as Cansin Ogbai Enaboifo.

The undefeated streak by Turkey came to an end on Wednesday despite they played good blocking volleyball with a 9-5 advantage.

Argentina played with a good reception (39 excellent plays) and solid defense (34 digs) and also a good setting strategy, that put rhythm on the match that lasted 1 hour and 18 minutes.
