Cuba, expect to continue working with their young generation

Mexicali, Mexico, September 20, 2015 - Cuba showed a good potential with their young players despite, the team coached by Rodolfo Luis Sanchez competed at the classification round for placed 9 to 16.

Cuba finished in position number 13 overall but according to coach Sanchez, this experience has been helpful to develop a whole new generation.

Some of the youngsters that have participated at the FIVB Men’s U21 World Championship have also attended to some other competitions at the Senior level like the last edition of the Pan American Games in Toronto.

“We have to follow up and continue preparing this group of young players. Fortunately we won today as we finished the tournament, but we have to keep on working,” said Sánchez.

Some of these players will also have the chance to participate at some other competitions like the Continental Championships, as they have been called up with the Senior team.

Meanwhile, the Japanese squad finished in place number 14. “We expected to finish with a win. However, congratulations to Cuba for this victory,” said coach Shingo Sakai.
