The Slovenian team celebrate the victory over France in Mexicali
Mexicali, Mexico, September 13, 2015 - Iztok Ksela coach of Slovenia recognized that they had a very good match against France, a kind of complicated rival.
However in the other hand, he said his team missed some opportunities to close effectively in the fourth set.
“There were some moments on the game that we struggled, but fortunately we could win, there are some details to correct,” Ksela stated.
For Slovenian captain, Jernej Vrhunc, match was like a puzzle, but they could solve with a positive kind of mistery: “I could not identify the main factor to win this game, but I like how we did it, and how both teams played a great match.”
Jocelyn Trillon, coach of France stated that this was also a tough and demanding battle.
“It was quite a challenge”, said Trillon. “I wish good luck to the Slovenian team in the next phase of the world championship. They’ve shown a good quality. The only thing you can do is to congratulate the players and their rivals.”
The French will continue playing in Mexicali as they will be part of the classification round for places 9 to 16.
