Poland win first match in straight sets against USA

Tijuana, Mexico, September 12, 2015 - Poland defeated the United States in three sets (25-22, 25-19, 25-14) with Bartlomiej Lipinski as their best player.

Lipinski scored 16 points for Poland, while captain Aleksander Sliwka closed with 10 as well as Pawel Halaba.

Jeffrey Jendryk Li was the best player on the American side, with 11 points, while Fey Kuopono closed with only 6.

Both teams finished tied in blocks (8 on each side of the net), but Poland dominated in serves with four collective aces against only one by the United States, that will play Russia on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Polish squad will play Argentina. Both matches at the High Performance Centre.
