Shingo and his players gain confidence after victory over Mexico

The Japanese players closed the Tuesday night match with a win in Mexicali over the host representatives.

Mexicali, Mexico, September 15, 2015.-  After winning their match against Mexico, Japanese coach Sakai Shingo recognized the way the local fans supported their team.

“We could gain more confidence with this result,” Shingo said. “We can keep calm and play better the rest of the matches at this second phase, and fight for a good place in the championship.”

His captain Tsubasa Hisahara celebrated the victory in a special way. “Me and my teammates feel proud after winning here. Yes there were many fans cheering up for Mexico and we had to do our best on the court,” he commented.

Adjustments are part of the details in which coach Eduardo Murguia said, they have to work on. “We could not make those adjustments in the key moments. Some times they had control over our attack,” Murguia mentioned.

“We will try to give our best in the rest of the competition and we will fight hard for every point on the court for our jersey and our country.”
