Slovenia close in seventh place after beating Canada

 

Jan Kozamernik scored 12 points, 6 of them were aces.

Tijuana,
Mexico, September 20, 2015 - Slovenia finished in the seventh place at the FIVB
Men’s  U21 World Championship after
beating Canada 3-1 (23-25, 25-28, 25-28, 25-11).

Stern
Toncek and Jan Kozamernik finished as top scorers for Slovenia with 12 points
apiece, while Jure Okroglic scored 11.

Brandon
Koppers topped for Canada with 16 units, followed by Blake Scheerhorn, who
scored 9, as well as Andrew Richards.

Canada
controlled the blocking game by leading 10-6 with Gabriel Chancy and Brandon
Koppers (with 3 and 2 blocking points, respectively). However they surrendered
45 points by mistake and Slovenia only 21.

Serving
game was tied with 7 aces for each team. Individually, Slovenian Jan Kozamernik
finished with 6, while Arthur Szwarc was the top server for Canada with 4,
followed by Blake Scheerhoorn, who aced 2 times.
