Turkey defeat Slovenia with resilient attitude

Tijuana, Mexico, September 15, 2015 - Turkey came back from a 0-2 deficit and won in five sets against the surprising Slovenia 20-25, 20-25, 26-24, 26-24, 16-14 in Pool E.

Yasin Aydin was the best spiker for the Turkis team, with a total of 23 points for Turkey, while Vahit Emre Savas scored 12 points, followed by Ozman Durmaz, who tallied 9.

For the Slovenian team, Toncek Stern was the top scorer with 20 units, while Jan Kozamernik finished with 17. Turkey finished with a 54-51 advantage in points by spike, but Slovenia had more control of the blocking situation (14-12). 

Service game was tight, with a little advantage for Slovenia (7-6) that got 40 points by error of the Turkish team. 

Slovenia surrendered 36 units and showed a solid defense by digging 37 balls (against 39 of Turkey). However the Turkish reception was key in the last moments to close with the win.
