Turkey on top of Pool A

 

Alexis Garay jumps over the net as Mexicans look forward to get enough points. However, Turkey controlled the game on the net.

Tijuana, Mexico, September 12, 2015 - Turkey beat Mexico 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-14) with a solid blocking performance.

Cansin Ogbai Enaboifo scored 14 points for Turkey, while Yansin Aydin scored 13.

Enrique Ugalde Campo finished with 11 for Mexico and Ridl Alexis Garay Nava with 6. Turkey had 8 blocks (4 by Durmaz Osman Cagatay)  against only one by Alan Gabriel Martinez of Mexico.

Turkey showed a solid attack with 44 points against 23 by Mexico.

Garay tried to get some points, but Turkey controlled the game on the net. Mexican coach Eduardo Murguia, tried to apply some changes and made adjustments.

In the last set, Christian Aranda entered as substitute setter and tried to work on the serve. After hitting the net, Turkey was in match point situation.

Mexico will look for the qualification to the second round when the hosts play Canada on Sunday. Meanwhile, Turkey is on top of Pool A and needs just a victory over Egypt.
