Overview

Team profile

Italy have long enjoyed success at U21 level, notably in 2013 when Marco Bonitta’s team won bronze. It was their first U21 medal since 1995 when they won bronze, two years on from winning the second of two consecutive silver medals in 1991 and 1993. Their first medal at U21 level was also silver, from 1985 when they lost the final to the Soviet Union in Milan.
