Brazilian blocks prevail over Iran

 

The South American squad had no problems to advance over Iran that are now 0-2 at FIVB Men's U21.

Mexicali, Mexico, September 12, 2015 - Brazil defeated Iran in straight sets 25-11, 25-18 and 25-21. Douglas Souza scored 15 points for Brazil to finish as leading attacker, while Caio Oliveira finished with 11.

Robert Araujo also contributed with 9 points for Brazil that showed a dominating blocking game by imposing clearly in front of the net. The South Americans converted 17 points in this department against only 5 by iran.

Rahman Taghi Zadeh was the top scorer with 11 tallies for Iran and Akbar Valei finished with 5. Serving game was also key for the Brazilians who finished 8-6 in 1 hour and 14 minutes. Iran are 0-2 while Brazil is undefeated with a 2-0 record.
