Slovenia beat France in five sets

 

Slovenian players in a double block play try to stop France.

Mexicali, Mexico, September 13, 2015 - Slovenia showed their quality as part of the best European teams in the U21 age group.

The team coached by Iztok Ksela defeated France 3-2 (25-22, 25-22, 21-25, 23-25, 20-18) at the State Auditorium in two hours and ten minutes of game. Ziga Donik registered 22 points for the Slovenian squad, while Toncek Stern tallied 19.
Jan Kozamernik had 15 points and Matej Kök scored 13 units, as the Balkanic team finished with four players with double digit.

However Patry Jean had his best performance at the tournament with 30 points for France. Timothée Carle played the first two sets as substitute, but started in the last three to achieve 23 units. Unfortunately, France suffered their second defeat at the tournament.

Slovenia had 19 points by block while France recorded 11. Both teams were too closed in spikes with 62 for Slovenia and 63 for France.
