Turkish players rise their flag after the match they won against Mexico.
Tijuana , Mexico, September 12, 2015 - The coach of Turkey Baris Ozdemir, remarked that despite playing against the local team and the support of their fans, it was important to keep concentration.
With one more win, Turkey can aspire to win Pool A. “This was a very important match, we had to win it to get to another round. Mexico had the home advantage, there were a lot of spectators and it really affected us because we missed some services due to the atmosphere,” he expressed after his team victory in three sets.
“But afterall we won this match and are ready to follow on.”
Vahit Emre Savas, captain of Turkey agreed with his coach: “It was a really good match today. We missed a lot of services, but worked with our blocks and we knew how to win, but today is over and we will look for our next matches and play as we did to win the Pool.”
Mexican coach Eduardo Murguia recognized that his team could not perform as he wanted like in the opening match.
“We did not do many things in comparison with the match against Egypt. We could never made the adjustments for the style of game shown by Turkey, congratulations to them,” He said.
“They are a really good team, and now we have to think in our next match that is against Canada for the next round ticket and leave behind the things that happened tonight.”
Enrique Ugalde, captain of Mexico remarked that Turkey played very well. “We could not get used to their game. There is nothing left to say. They were superior. Now we have to go on and think about our next match, and play well to be among the top eight teams of this competition,” he mentioned.
“We must win in anyway. What happened tonight is done. It is new tournament and one only match for us.”
