The team coached by Daniel Friend closed the classification pool round with three victories.
Mexicali, Mexico, September 17, 2015.- After their victory against Japan, United States’ Coach Daniel Friend stated that he would like to face France or Poland in the next round.
“We were inconsistent throughout the match which helped Japan to win one set,” said Friend, who admitted he enjoyed the match at the State Auditorium.
Meanhwhile, Japanese Coach, Shingo Sakai, mentioned that in regards of the final score, his team made some crucial mistakes. “We made important mistakes, and that caused the defeat,” Sakai stated.
Hisahara Tsubasa, the Japanese captain agreed with his coach. “We had some errors that costed us the match. We made blocking and serving mistakes that really affected us.
During the last minutes of the match Japan could not get into the rhythm they showed at the beginning. This gave the Americans an opportunity to get their third win in classification round.
