We played in a tough Pool: Farhad

 

Iran grabbed their first victory of the championship against Cuba. Both teams will remain playing in Mexicali.

Mexicali, Mexico, September 13, 2015.- Nafarzadeh Farhad Coach of Iran, said the pool were they played at the U21 World Championship was very complicated.

“There were a lot of champions in it, good quality teams and it was very tight. Some good teams go out, some others advanced to the next round. So this was tough for all,” He remarked.

“Winning against Cuba, for example was not an easy thing. They have a very good volleyball level and play so well,” the Iranian coach added.

Meanwhile,  Luis Rodolfo Sanchez, coach Cuba coach said his players still have much to improve. “There are many aspects we have to work on. We have to improve on them as the competition goes on. They are a young team but a team with a lot of attitude,” Sanchez stated.

He also agreed that the Pool was tough. “Matches were really hard, every rival was demanding. What I hope is that my team can reach a full potential,” he remarked.

“We look forward to improve for the next games”, Adrian Goide, captain of Cuba expressed.

Some of his teammates like Ricardo Calvo, for example, have participated in previous competitions like the U19 World Championship celebrated two years ago in the same cities of Tijuana and Mexicali. However this is a new experience for the young Cubans who want to show up their game quality.

“We have to win in the classification round, we have to prepare and finish in the best position as possible.”
